In other news! I struck gold during my thrift shopping the other day when I found an original and authentic Pierre Balmain vintage floral leather shoulder purse. This is by far in the top 10 best finds by me so far this purse is in great condition and its absolutely gorgeous! Pierre Balmain is one of my favorite vintage designers and I feel like such a lucky mother fucker to find this bag when I did.

This purse is apart of the "Les fleurs de mon Jardin" collection by Balmain dated back to anywhere between the late 1970s to mid 1980s(according to google). I cant find much about this collection just a couple of other purses but when I make the time I plan on consulting the vintage Gods.

Went thrift shopping the other day and picked up a few things! I got this really beautiful African tote bag. As I was on my way to the register I happened to glance at it just hanging there and with the price tag(1.95)hanging too so I just grabbed it.

After I got home I decided to further inspect this bag I wasn't really sure if it was vintage or not. There are no tags and it seems as doe it was hand made cuz there are obvious but slight errors in the stitching. The inside and straps of the tote are made out of a dark denim, the outside is a very soft and beautiful wool like fabric.

During my inspection I found a little hand carved wooden man hanging on the inside. At first I was really excited because it has the shape of an ankh which is what I originally thought it was then when I turned it around I saw that it looked like maybe a little tiki. Either way im a little bit scared now cuz I think I just bought me a voodoo purse.

The little carved man can be flipped to show and hang on the outside as well

I just keep thinking about this demonologists guy that came to my college campus one day and was telling us about his work. He works with a lot of haunted objects and as well as homes/people and he said that people who collect vintage items are the ones who should be careful the most because they have a lot of history and spiritual attachments that can cause a haunting.

Nonetheless I really love this bag! Lets hope I'm just being a little cooky.

I was watching a movie on showtime the other night [it might have been a special or something] called The Sucide Girls :Guide To living. The Suicide Girls is an online community who's popularity sky rocketed all over the world. The girls are tatted up betties, mostly rock a billy chicks with interesting piercings and tattoos[ and ALOT of them].These girls are models who decided that models with ink and an alternative beauty should be glorified more and decided that the best way they can have that accomplished is doing it themselves. The suicide girls are known for their raunchy pin-up style photos.As of now there are about 2000 suicide girls, and over a thousand applicants every year.

Im a big fan of INK and I've known about the suicide girls since I was 17 and this was literally the first time I have ever seen anything on TV about them, so of course I was proud. I also always wanted to be a suicide girl since I was 17 and I haven't necessarily grown out of that yet. I only have 5 tattoos right now so I'm gonna need about 50 more before I submit my application [LOL].

My favorite suicide girl is Radeo. In high school, my best friend sent me this picture of Radeo after I explained to her an idea I had for a tattoo on my back.

Yes so this cheetah print tattoo is by far in the top three sickest tattoos I have ever seen! I love it. Its definitely down my lane and I felt an instant connection with Radeo because she basically had almost the same exact tattoo that I had created and imagined for myself. There are some differences of course with my idea but this was all the way back in 2007 when you didn't see much girls with cheetah print tats,I felt that my idea was very innovative and different and it was nothing short of awesome to see someone else whose brain works a little like mine. She's mentioned that theres no real deep meaning behind the tat other than that she loves cheetah print and cheetahs [good enough for me].

Radeo is a little petite girl from Ohio [5'4" 125lbs], she's 21 and she loves oldies. Her favorite artists and bands range from Otis Redding to Tara Mcpherson. She's a big fan of gore and superstition. She claims that she doesn't listen to anything thats on the radio, irony much? Well her profile on SG.com lists irony as one of her hobbies.

One of her most recent tats on her NECK/THROAT is not anything that I believe I would ever consider doing but its definitely mention worthy and incredibly creative!

This is a shot from Erykah Badu's new music video for her single "Window Seat".

In the video Badu sheds her clothing while walking through downtown Dallas, revealing the word EVOLVING written in giant black letters on her back..

The video is not only inspired by but gives props to Matt and Kims's "Lesson Learned", in which the duo strips in the middle of Times Square.

Just as she is completely nude, Badu is shot in the head, falling near the same grassy knoll where President Kennedy was shot.

Instead of blood, animated words that spell out "groupthink" leak from her head on the sidewalk.

I absolutely love this video! March has turned out to be an awesome month for epic music videos with strong messages through what we can consider to be visual art. Lady Gaga and Beyonce gave us "Telephone" which is still buzzing like crazy and is stirring up controversy wherever you can get it.

Following the premiere of the music video on her official site Badu began to discuss the video in much detail on her twitter account @fattybella

"The people caught in the shot were trying hard to ignore me," Badu tweeted. "Lol, [except] one guy grabbing [my] clothes. ... He disappeared. Didn't have time to look for him or clothes. We ran. It was the peeps off camera yelling.

Despite people who shouted at her, she said, "I held my head up and kept moving. ... There were children there. I prayed they wouldn't b traumatized."

This video is nothing short of genius, sending a very strong message.Using nudity as a reference to people not wanting to conform to the masses and shot down for their beliefs,the JFK reference is culminating.I am not shocked at all that this finesse is being provided to us by way of Miss Badu. I always loved her work, her art, and her soul. She never ceases to blow me away.

LIL B-"I'm the Devil"

This is rapper Lil B(from The Pack) new promotional video for his song "I'm the Devil". The song and the video just reminded me of a discussion I had in my philosophy class the other day.

There is a clear(more or less) separation between evil and good,both exist in all humans, depending on your definition of the two of course, but for me, at the least, they do.
Is this presence due to human nature or a institution of humankind?

Western religions base most of their teachings on being freed of the inner evil that us humans contain. They have rules/laws they impose that, if followed to the tee, will succeed in doing so(well according to them).

The Bible introduces the "devil",the manifestation of evil, the tempter, the person who is responsible for the presence and/or potential presence of evil in all of us. The Bible also tells us the infamous story of Adam and Eve, how they succumbed to evil(If you may), and that all humans are born with this "Original Sin";therefore,not pure,and not "good". This evil is not necessarily a stem of human nature, but its still something that we have within us, in the absence of free will. Not only that but it is also not portrayed as a natural entity but one that was birthed by the act of (a)human(s) and therefore instilled in all of us as some sort of punishment maybe?

BLAH!

A few eastern religions have a belief that "All is one" and that both evil and good is a part of humanity and that neither is above one another (in a sense). Instead of focusing on the termination of evil, they focus on embracing all and liberating your MIND and SPIRIT so that there would be no place for evil, or better yet no reason?

....EHHHH IDK

Well here is my brain leakage on this, I do believe that evil is a part of us humans, just as much as good is. We are naturally evil and we are naturally good. Its sort of taboo for one to glorify their evil side huh? Well I don't mind it..lol..at least not in this sense

Rihanna's New Video for Rude Boy is my favorite thing to watch right now..its a total acid trip and I love it. The second I began to watch it for the first time I felt the TOTAL M.I.A. vibe with the colors, fashion, and playfulness. Also there is a very big Grace Jones presence with Rihanna period, but especially in this video, she's taking it back to her carribean roots and I am not mad at all.This video gets an A+ from mee.Its also a total breath of fresh air Rihanna has been disappointing me a lot lately, so this is a good way to get back in the good Ri Ri(wink).

First of wanna say sorry guys been real bee like at school lately so I've been giving some slight neglect.

I just want to briefly touch this tragedy that happened a few days ago that I am still in complete and utter shock about, along with being completely DEVASTATED.

Fashion Designer Alexander Mcqueen committed suicide on Thursday, February 11.

Mcqueen was one of my top 3 favorite designers ever, I have spent so many countless late nights just watching youtube videos of his runway shows. His aesthetic SPEAKS TO ME, he is just out of this world and just wildy innovative, he reminded me so much of my absolutely favorite designer Thierry Mugler. It was definitely one of my life goals to be able to meet this extraordinary man, and I am just soo crushed now that there is no chance at all that -that can ever happen.

I just cant even fathom fashion without Mcqueen. And I know this is sounding melo-dramatic because the brand will go on but I strongly do not feel that any successor will be able to execute the genius that existed in this man's brain.

Fashion has suffered a great loss.

I can honestly go on forever about this guy! Seriously so I tried to make this as short as I possibly can. There probably not even words that exist that can express all that I wanna say.

Soo just to pay a little homage here are videos I found that highlight the artistry and genius of Alexander Mcqueen.

Lady Gaga my favorite person in the world was one of Mcqueen's Muses and she absoultely loved and lived his work. She made a last minute decision to change her performance at the Brit Awards recently, and dedicated it to Mcqueen.

Watching the red carpet on E for the premiere of this new movie called "Valentine's Day", and seeing Ann Hathaway in this MARCHESA dress just blew me away! It is so gorgeous and cute I wanted to just reach into the TV and snatch it right off of her.However, poor selection of accessories, I would of loved to see an interesting neck piece plus the shoes were blah. Nonetheless gorgeous dress and it did great things for her skin complexion.

Beyonce sending a message?

While I was watching Beyonce's performance last night I immediately took notice to her outfit and that it looked very similar to something out of Rihanna's closet. I was tweeting like crazy about all the shenanigans and a thought popped up in my head about the message B might be sending with this performance. You know I always have a theory so here it goes!

Im not gonna write a full pledged report on this by the way, just gonna make a few short points.

1. I think its very peculiar for B to be singing "If I were a Boy", not the biggest hit off of her album..not to say she should of perform "Single Ladies" because I'm sure she's as tired of performing that song as we all are tired of seeing her perform it! But "Halo" would of been a more appropriate song to sing, in my opinion.

2. Very Passionate performance, minimal typical Beyonce flashy, energy filled hot and crazy dancing(even doe she did give us a little Sasha at the end). Also in the beginning she had this whole military thing going on that was soo Rihanna and very random, and I still cant connect it to the song, and/or the rest of the performance.

3. The outfit. Why are u dressed like Jay Z's mistress? lol

4. She thanked her HUSBAND later that night when she accepted her award. Which is the first time ever she has referred to her 'husband'.

There are a few more wacky points lingering in my head but I'm gonna leave it there.

So whats the message is Beyonce sending? I could tell you what I think but I rather let you come up with your own ideas.

Now enough of the brain leakage and on to the good stuff

I was definitely right about the whole Rihanna inspired outfit and I knew I've seen that dress before!

This is the ATELIER Versace leather mini dress made of cut out leather with a metallic enriched bustier that miss Ri Ri wore for the Italian Vogue photo shoot she did last August.

Beyonce changed it up a little to her likings. She got rid of the straps and added some more fabric to the bustier to get rid of all the slutty see through elements, she also chopped it up at the bottom making it more short, fun and definitely cuter. She paired it with great accessories, including some awesomely fierce shoes(Giuseppe Zanotti booties) to go with that steel walk.

I know there are gonna be many comparisons to the two looks and my vote is definitely for B. She looks way cuter than Rihanna in that Grace Jones jacking, greasy heavy ass makeup, half naked ass and just ugly! spread. I know I mentioned it before that I didn't like that spread AT ALL!

Although I do think Beyonce's hair could of been very much edgier, I'm not asking for a blonde mohawk or anything but even a famous Beyonce messy updoe would of registered better than that flat straight look she was doing. Her hair at the Grammy's period was a yawn for me but thats a whole other post lol.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs, earlier today, unveiled the iPad, a tablet-style computer that he called "a truly magical and revolutionary product."

"What this device does is extraordinary," Jobs said. "It is the best browsing experience you've ever had. ... It's unbelievably great ... way better than a laptop. Way better than a smartphone."

The Ipad has a nearly 10-inch screen,it will be about a half-inch thick and weigh about 1½ pounds.It is available in 16-gigabyte, 32-gigabyte and 64-gigabyte versions, and the device will have a 1 GHz processor.

It runs existing apps from the Apple apps store, as well as newly designed applications made especially for the Ipad. The one that is creating the most buzz is the iBook interface, an aspect of the iPad that's expected to take a big bite out of the e-reader market currently dominated by Amazon's Kindle.The iBook display looks like a real wooden bookshelf and will let users touch a book on that shelf to read it. It lets readers change fonts, tap the screen to turn pages or drag pages with their finger, according to Jobs' demonstration.

Pricing will start at $499 for the 16-gigabyte version, $599 for the 32-gig version and $699 for the 64 gig.

Two mobile plans will be available through AT&T, and there will be no contracts, allowing customers to opt out at any time.Having 3G mobile access for each will cost an extra $130.

They are scheduled to begin shipping in 60 days.

Okay soo here are my thoughts..WTF? First of all..is this a phone or is it a computer? If its a phone its entirely too big. If its a computer it is not even close to doing enough for me to call it that and also for me to be paying that much for it. And what exactly does it do really? So far I have not even found any thing that greatly distinguishes these "magical" abilities that this product offers.

But seriously Apple what are you doing? You literally just made a bigger iTouch with iPhone and Kindle capabilities with additional finances that overflow the costs of owning an Iphone,Itouch AND a Kindle. The iBook feature is honestly the only thing worth talking about but still..I am positive most consumers rather pay $200 for a kindle.The price is honestly not even something I'm gonna take into much consideration right now because I am almost sure the retail will drop coming to its official drop, or maybe sometime after, just like what happened with the Iphone.

I know the big show stopper is suppose to be that this gadget is literally a pocket PC. First of all..it cannot even fit into your pocket. Second it does not seem to have any real capabilities of a pc/laptop. It does not even run a multiprogramming OS! Indicating that its core functions will be based on applications(similar to how your iphone/itouch works). There are NO flash capabilities, and not even the slightest bit of sufficient memory to run efficiently as a CPU.

There is absolutely nothing convenient about this product, as it suggested.There seems to be no big difference between its predecessors.Its honestly not your best reader,with its backlights and praised illuminance that is known to not be healthy for the eyes.Lets not forget that in a few months we're going to be introduced to the 2nd and 3rd generations that will just fix the inevitable glitches and add sum more trivial and non-sufficient features while also raising the retail price.Whats sad is that people are probably gonna jump on this like hot cakes due to the recent Apple frenzy.I am happy that I am educated enough to see bullshit when its staring me right in the EYE.

My philosophy teacher mentioned today how a University used to be a place where young people came to find themselves. As opposed to now, when its mostly about getting something(degree/education) that will allow you to get a good job. I mean of course college was always a place to get educated, but I mean there used to be a bigger picture, I guess. I didn't attend college in the 60s, I wasn't even alive! So I cant really give you much of a factual aspect on it, but I totally understood what he was saying and I pretty much agreed with him. He went on to explain how education is not only about the obvious things, the text book stuff. There are things that we as human beings are going to have to deal with that are beyond finding/learning, mastering, a skill,getting a job, getting married, buying a house and a car, then having some kids.. That we young people need to not only be prepared for the workforce, but also, for life and how to use our minds to its greatest abilities. In life we are going to have to deal with death, sorrow,depression, melancholy,self-awareness, turmoil, confusion, doubt, spiritual obstacles, and many much more that even doe we would like to think our home environment has prepped us for, WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOT THE SLIGHTEST BIT OF GRIP ON.

Hearing this man speak was a very great big breath of fresh air for me. I feel like he is my messiah! I haven't been posting too much of my actual brain leakage on here but for anybody who follows me on twitter or just knows me at least semi-personally you can probably figure out that I have been in this constant battle with myself about school, life, and pretty much everything else. Coming back to school this semester alone was an issue for me just because I literally felt like I had no idea what I was doing here.I mean yes I am learning, yes there is a goal, and yes I am about 90 percent sure of what I have chosen for my career and that it is the right choice. And YES, I am extremely content with my career choice. Its just that-thats not really the problem.These other aspects, the "education of life", if I may, has been haunting my brain for a while now. I'm pretty sure most young people in my age range are going through the same exact battle within themselves but I have always been a person that reacts on my emotions and thoughts. More efficiently than most, I guess. I just feel like getting a job and a career will always be evident but how long do i have to find myself, and how can I do anything else before I do that. Anyway I've definitely had direct experiences with pretty much all of the things that I have mentioned earlier, and I guess you can say I'm dealing with it, but its all because I had no choice, and I don't think that I am dealing with it them in 1. healthy ways 2. the right way. So taking this class with this specific professor is definitely something that I feel and hope will answer questions, raise new ones and most of all help me in one way or another. Its a lot to put on a college professor I know! Honestly, if everything I feel like this course will do for me doesn't quite happen, I still feel like it's going to be a very interesting and nourished experience.

OOh yeah and I definitely forgot to mention that the course is called World Religions, he explained that its more of a spiritual focus as opposed to just learning about different religions and cultures.He wants us to question our religions, our faith, and find the answers! He also wants us to define religion. How exciting huh? This is another reason why I feel like this guy was sent to me because I was literally just having a discussion on twitter last night about christianity(my so called "religion"),the inconsistencies and the truths. I was raised catholic and I thought this stuff was fishy from as far as I can remember, lol I went to catholic school for ten years and by the time I left, I knew that I wasn't no Catholic. I usually tell people that I am spiritual, and that I'm not religious. Which is the truth and my professor mentioned that he, himself was a spiritual man and not religious and that he would discuss the very big difference between the two.

Philosophy teachers are always very different from any other professors, and thats for any school. So I'm sure there are thousands of people that have had encounters with a philosophy professor that has innovated something very different for them in their lives. I'm just really happy that I'm finally getting my turn to experience.

The line that it seems everybody is having a hooplah over.To be real short and blunt, there's absolutely nothing shocking at all to me about this line, I'm pretty much throwing it in the gigantic sac of ingenius clever Kanye lines, and thats THAT. People are really trying to ring this out for all it is and then add all types of seasoning and its really not necessary.

What raised an eyebrow(for lack of better terms) for me, is when Kanye decides to bring out Amber, for some type of irrelevant praise. It was a WTF moment for me mostly because it was pretty damn random and I'm not too fond of the two of them together anyway, which adds insult to injury I guess.

It stuck in my head and has been swirling around since I watched this video. I read on another blog a few weeks ago about this buzz that Kanye is planning on proposing to Amber Rose in the new year.I literally almost threw up and dismissed it as poppycock. I have not been a fan of this romance from day one. I initially couldn't make sense of this because I always praised Kanye for being one of the few artist that doesnt get rumored or seen around with just any old hoe. I always held him high as a man with standards. I mean even his Video Girls(when he does include them in his videos)seem high grade lol.I understand it now doe, it makes sense for Kanye to be parading around with this WHORE, he is extremely conflicted and hasn't been fully engulfing his realities. So he's basking in his customized fairy tale fully equipped with his shiny provisionally perfect princess.

SO I am A gigantic Tim Burton fan, he is one of my favorite earthlings.His mind is on a totally different frequency than most and I am just dying to tune in. Luckily he gives us all a bit of a pulse with his artwork, whether its his movies, illustrations, books, etc. He has just released a new publication that includes a mixture of his personal and project artwork, recent and vintage(me like), unreleased and familiar ones. The book has over 1000 illustrations and 430 pages. The book is called "The Art of Tim Burton".

This is just pure gold for me and I advise everybody to pick this up, as I will.I'm pretty sure its on Amazon somewhere lol. But you can order a copy here on the Tim Burton's official website.

It caught my attention because it is very strangely Lady Gaga influenced(whether they would like to admit it or not).She has also obviously incorporated her Barbie spin into it with the bright fun colors and such. I am totally digging this video, this is the Rihanna I cream for! She's been getting a lot of shade ever since her interview on ABC(which I will not discuss-->FOOLISH), which I also think is one of the bigger causes for her album flopping a week later then going for 99cents on Black Friday(???).

Rated R was suppose to be the big COMEBACK and it was almost a complete FAIL! I was really upset that she was focusing on the CB issue a lot and making that the appeal of her album. Having "Russian Roulette" as her first single and also the little promotional video for "The Wait is Over", both dark and eery videos really TURNED ME OFF. I mean to play the whole victim thing(which I think is pretty effin lame) is a good idea I guess,but then you could of at least WRITE YOUR SONGS RiRi lol come on!

So I haven't really been digging this chick lately but ever since I saw her new tattoo, I knew she had a plan in the works to making a turn in what seems to be her downfall. AND BOY is she giving it to us!

Paying Homage : The Leotard

It seems like the egdy, "Fierce" and in your face ladies are not only topping the charts but annoyingly( and I say this with much love and appreciation) instigating spawns all over the streets of fashion now a days. Being "different" is all the rage and the more against the strain you are,the more appealing, IRONY MUCH? Looking at the women who are dominating the charts and fashion it raises an eye brow for me because non of the things that I'm seeing is relatively NEW to me..not even original.. but everybody is passing it as that..so it seems. It just raises the question Who Did it First? I haven't conducted a thorough investigation, I dont have days of research and notes to base this on..lol just whats in my noggin and maybe a little help from google search. lol

We'll start with the most simple one:

THE LEOTARD

I was watching something on the picture box the other day that gave a reference to Beyonce and her turning the whole fashion world "leotard crazy". I automatically got a WTF face because I definitely disagree with that lol. I mean yes the "Single ladies" video was a phenomenon all over but Beyonce was definitely not the chick to make leotards the cheese.

The success of her video definitely birthed a new "look" for her..everywhere she goes you could spot her on the red carpet or doing an eye popping performance in a sparkly leotard BUT she was not the first girl to walk around in a leotard. Also I have to say she looked really stupid in most of the ensembles I've seen her work her little leotard look into.. Beyonce overall is not really fashionable at all to me but this is a stretch for her usually bland non significant style she obviously did a good job in making it hers since people are trying to give her credit for the look..but SORRRY its not yours B.

The person who I think deserves the credit is the monster herself..lol Lady Gaga I mean yes I am completely in love with her but that is not the point. Lady Gaga is definitely the first chick in a long time, if not ever, to sport the leotard look and OWN it..correct me if I'm wrong she got a lot of negativity about it as well. When she first started getting her buzz people were spotting her not only on stage with a crazy fabolous letoard concoction on but even in the streets!

Now of course there is no way I could of not mention this fabulous lady Miss Grace Jones..she was wearing leotards and much more before these chicks were even saying their ABC's lol soo theres no way I could be paying homage without bowing to the Great Grace..Lady Gaga's entire everything is very much inspired by this lady's image..she mentions it all the time in interviews and I aint mad at that! Beyonce.. I dont follow her much but I definitely see sum Grace Jones in her too..we all have a little Grace Jones in us.... I know I do..ROOARR

Yess Rihanna has a new controversial tat everybody! She got it Monday night in her favorite NYC tattoo parlor EAST SIDE INK.

The tat reads " Never a Failure, Always a lesson" in simple black script but get this...its Backwards!! lol dont you just love this chick?? I can go on forever on what this tattoo probably means and why she got it but I'm not..mostly because I dont even care and because its not my Tat! Anyway I love INk and I love originality so Ri Ri..you definitely get an A+ from me on this one.

So I have been really bored with my hair lately, I mean everybody knows that I love my afro IT IS my signature of course but I get really bored wit my hair very quickly and I also love to try new things. Lately I have been playing around wit one of my mom's wigs ..it originally started as me just throwing it on one morning after waking up from a drunken fun night and my hair was a DISASTER. Its really convenient so I kept flossing it for the rest of the week. I miss having dark hair and I felt like I was a totally different person..Like I was taking on a new character lol. But I knew I had to tweek it you know do something to it to spice it up.. I originally thought of chopping some of it off but I was digging the long locks.

Anyhoo as I watched the new Beyonce & Lady Gaga video today I had an epiphany! Im not even sure of the technical name for the do..but i call it the BETTY(in reference to Bettie Page the infamous pin up girl) lol. Beyonce had a scene in the video when she was rocking the BETTY which is the basic vintage 1950's do with the short wide U bang and long curl/wavy locks. I loved it and I knew instantly thats what I was gonna do to my wig. So I got the cutting chopping and styling and BANG! I did it lol its a little amateur but I'm content with the end product and I know that this is gonna be the look im gonna be sticking with for the next few months, of course I'm gonna be playing around with it, different colors, cuts, curls and so forth. And..here it is..

The sucky part of the story is that my moms stupid wig is synthetic so I cant manipulate it like I would want to and I also cant curl it..but lol this is just temporary anyway..just practice..in the meanwhile I rock the straight look

Okay so I just bought a pair of knee high Dr. Martens and I am completely horrified right now!! Haha No seriously! I know that these boots in particular are very stiff and they require "breaking in" but COME ON! Maybe I'm being dramatic its only been one day and I have been doing the basic "breaking in" techniques, you know wearing them around the house.. bending the shoe and such. AND NOTHING!! I feel like I'm making No progress! I think my feet have been numb since I took em off a few minutes ago. lol.

So I decided to google "breaking in dr. martens"..a few links popped up with tips on breaking in leather shoes, most of them included the basics that I already knew and some included things I've never heard of and I dont think I will be trying( like rubbing oil inside and around your shoe and leaving wet newspaper inside over night??Bahhh??)..lol the others just suggested that you buy a bigger size..Blah! Uhmm Kinda late aren't we? Then I find something on yahoo answers from a girl who has the exact same boots for over a year and only wore em once because of the pain and is seeking desperate help with breaking them in. She's tried most of the "breaking in" techniques that I've been doing but still no help. She's gotten blisters and cuts only after a day of wearing them. Get this..the BEST ANSWER that was chosen was to rub soap on the inside of your socks before you wear them????Are u kidding me?

Anyway I AM REALLY SCARED RIGHT NOW..lol! I know it takes time lol but seriously I need a quick way to break these wretched things in already because I want to wear them outside of my kitchen!! lol..I found a tip that said to use vaseline to soften the leather and that seems pretty safe so im gonna try that..pray for me everyone

Hey Everybody! I know there hasn't been any post in a while and I am really sorry about that but we're up and running again as you can see.

So the Yankees definitely won the World Serious tonight and the streets are just going CRAZY! I have to say I absolutely HATE watching baseball it can tend to get really dragged out and boring to me but this game was a definite nail biter for me and I enjoyed it. Im going to enjoy attending the parade on Friday even MORE!

Furhtermore, lately I have been totally feeling the New York spirit.. its every where! I feel like this is the time to be a New Yorker (well relatively cuz its always the time to be a New Yorker WE ARE THE BEST!). This might be a stretch but I am definitely wishing and hoping for the Jets to win the superbowl, and an even a bigger stretch... for the Knicks to win the championshiop! HOW GREAT WOULD THAT BE??? I would run in the streets naked I SWEAR! LOL But seriously I am just totally loving my state, my home, my love right now! NEW YORK, and did I mention that I was from BROOKLYN?? BOO YAH! Thats the best Part.

I'm definitely giving Jay Z a lot of credit for my "empire state of mind" right now for this AMAZING song I frickin Love it..its definitely my anthem right now

I am a major Super Gigantic fan of Lady Gaga and a lot of people just dont understand her..I actually kind of like that lol..But aside from the average expected hooplah controversy and lies that surround her..there have definitely been harsh critiques of her actual talent and Isnt this just a SLAP! in the face!This girl is so talented i dont even think we would ever be able to fully engulf the quintessence that is Lady Gaga.She writes all of her music, composes a lot of them, she actually sits down to creatively design each and every performance that she does( that includes choreography, costume, music, visual art, etc)..I mean I'm not saying that every entertainer should be doing this but I really appreciate TRUE ARTIST and i feel like this is what she is..as much as her so called "antics" ; the stuff she does and say may seem like some type of show or media stunt to the simple eye..I embrace her and I am just so into everything that she does and even sometimes I admit I dont understand but I love it anyway... Ne way lets give sum background info..

So one of my friends found out about a month ago that sumbody has it out for her!! lol not gonna drop the name again for face sake so lets just say her name is Betty.. so theres a person who for some reason does not like their own life so is trying to steal Betty's life..made up a fake profile for her on Hi5 and facebook(prolly myspace too but we just havent found it yet) and stole each and every picture from her facebook and myspace and put it up on those other sites, i mean this chick is SERIOUS she even has the correct contact information on the pages..she includes Betty's REAL screen name , college email as well as AOL email...REAL PHONE NUMBER..FULL FRICKIN NAME..ADRESSS..lol i mean the works!! Im suprised her social security number aint up there..it started getting worse cuz this person got into her AIM tooo..and Betty's facebook account is now deleted because facebook doesnt know who the REAL Betty is..effed up fa reall!!

These pictures that miss WannaBE Betty had access to included pictures of me, kela bee, Teenuh and plenty of our other friends and in a last(or maybe one of the last) desperate attempt, to fuck wit us..Wannabe Betty sends one of the pictures too this bash blog and now there we ARE!! up there accused of commiting a fashion faux pas. By the way im assuming this is the work of Wannabe Betty because the picture thats up was in the possession of the real Betty only.

I cant even tell this person to get a life because thats obviously what she's attempting to do LOL!

All i gotta say is that that im sorry that ur life isnt as entertaining as ours and i understand why u would hate us wanna be like us and try to RUIN uss but it aint gonna happen baby SORRY!

So this buzz about Singer/Song writer Solange Knowles(yeah yeah Beyonce's little sister) rocking her new shaved hair cut..and everybody is basically going bananas becuz this gurl is rocking this FIERCE look, may I say. She is showing up on every celebrity blog under the sun with people bashing her on her new look(with the exception of sum competent ones who agree that its HOT)

News about her lost locks surfaced a few weeks ago when papparazzi caught her in L.A. sporting the new do. Mind you this is the morning after she made a red carpet appearance at a Dita Vion Tessel event. BUTTT she wore a wig to this event(a very cute one might I add). The shit didnt hit the fan HOWEVER untill she was seen in Urayasu (right outside of Tokyo) at a promotional event for Japanese fashion brand Samantha Thavasa on August 10. Standing beside no other than her media collosal weight sister Beyonce. HMPH!!! Thats when the slicing and dicing began!! People are accusing her of trying to suck up attention, calling it a desperate attempt,even comparing this to the Britney Spears incident. ARE U FUCKING SERIOUS???

I personally love Solange and I think she is gorgeous and her shaving her hair honestly does not shock me at all. She is an INDIVIDUAL and I will always respect that. As much as people try to compare her to sister she has stayed true to herself (which is wayy more than B can say im sure) and there is NO WAY that her doing this is sum type of publicity stunt. That is not her style. But in retrospect she is also VERY UNDERRATED and I hope this buzz can get people to actually listen to her music and get interested in her cuz that girl is talented for real and her sound is AUTHENTIC and I love her style.Her album Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams is amazing and on my top five list for the year. I also follow her on twitter and she always has something funny and REAL to say.She's all good in my book.

The Revolution is live!!!!

So its like 6 am in the morning and I just finished watching "Lord of the Revolution:The Black Panthers" on my DVR of course because I had an inkling to record it when I saw it was coming on and boy am I smart!! Cuz that was a supertastic idea lol..I have watched it a few times since i recorded it YESTERDAY lol.. i just have to APPLAUD Vh1 for this one..ugh!! it is sooo greaat!! The Panther history is a very controversial and detailed one..althought they didnt get into all the shenanigans(good choice of word?? maybe not) that went on they touched the important and significant ones..the point of view was not too biased (if biased at all??)..and the people they got to commentate just blew my frickin mind!! They had the father of it all FOUNDER Bobby Seale(not that suprised but still *kudos*), as well as many other significant members[including Ericka Huggins wife of L.A. Chapter leader John Huggins and first FEMALE member Tarika Lewis]to give their first hand accounts of the unbelievable events that occured during the rise [and unfortunate fall] of the Black Panther Revolution. And I HAVE NOOO IDEA HOW THEY DID IT but they actually got Wes Swearingen a former FBI special Agent during the Black Panther Revolution to give his accounts of the FBI's tenacious and reluctant efforts to DEMOLISH the Black Panthers..I mean i could go on forever about this program but you guys are gonna stop reading about 5 lines from now lol!!..I am just really amped because I LIVE FOR THIS..i lovve everything that the Black Panthers were about everything they represented what they are today and what they symbolize..James Crowell a white man who was a "Panther defender" during the rise.. while giving his perspective of how he feels about the panthers,what they mean to him and what they represent to this day got choked up!..he started tearing mid sentence..man that is just so spine tingling for me..it makes me really proud to be an AFRO HAVING BLACK SISTAH..lol yup i ammm n e way that was the 5th line!! bye

Heey Everybody!! Im kind of excited and yet slightly impartial that this blog is finally up this is something we have been meaning to do for sum time now. Thats all I'm gonna say abut that.I dont give myself limits when it comes to expressing myself because there shouldn't be! It definitely doesnt stop at the few that I mentioned. I consider myself to be an intellectual meaning my mind is a canvas and the world is my artist. I am deeply infatuated with fashion, it is one of the original and easiest ways to express yourself. Vintage clothing is presently what keeps the beat of my heart. LOL! I am a retail WHORE! I have worked in probably all of the stores that you shopped at lol! My career path is not directly involved with fashion(shocker huh?) mostly because I have not exactly paved that entire road yet. But I am currently a Marketing Major taking a Minor in Fashion Marketing. You do the math.Anyway soo yeah thats me, a lil snipppet, I guess,I am very opinionated and I pretty much have something to say about everything! Lol you will disagree a lot and sometimes you might even agree with whatever it is that I'm postiong on this. But trust me, you will never be bored nor will it lack any substance.

I will say that i have always been like this. I am in fact a feel freak. I am hyper sensitive to the arts and take this very seriously. I do my research and try to understand what happened or what it was like before i got here. I try not to be about the past so much but i am naturally about the funk and soul of things. That could be because I grew up listening to my Uncles demo tape. His stage name was KOKE Trebone and had songs like Teddy Pendergrass with titles like "gun metal blues" and "thats the sound of the men working on elaine" lol. You know ive been preetty awkward since the day I was born I was 5ft 10 inches when i walked in as a freshman in High School with weird fitting clothes and a weird disposition of life and how I will compete against the others that were way more normal looking way more confident and way more in tune with their peers. I guess four years later i got out of the hell hole and grew a mane bigger than any lioness out there. I am very imperfect and very reflective and you will see this in the type of blogs i post. I am very strong but very shy. I am very wrong but very right. I am very low but very high. By now you should get where Im going with this. I sing all the time and take voice lessons. I am an aspiring model (unsigned and knows what that means). I believe in GOD. I am spiritual a very generous good person. But i am very fierce as you will see the most dangerous type of feirce the one you will NOT see coming.
